Martin Doblmeier
President and Founder
Martin Doblmeier is president and founder of Journey Films in Alexandria, Virginia. Since 1983 he has produced and directed more than 25 award-winning films on subjects of faith and spirituality, including:
The Heart Has Its Reasons: the story of the L'Arche communities for men and women with mental handicaps.
Taize: That Little Springtime: a profile of the ecumenical monastic community in France.
Bernardin: the story of Chicago's Cardinal Joseph Bernardin.
Final Blessing: a film about the spiritual issues of the terminally ill.
BONHOEFFER: the critically acclaimed, theatrically released documentary about the famed pastor and Nazi resister.
ALBERT SCHWEITZER: Called to Africa which one the prestigous Gabriel Award.
The POWER of FORGIVENESS, a documentary film that won the Sun Valley Film Festival Best Film Award, the Silver SCreen Award from the International Film and Video Festival, the Wilbur Award and the Christopher Award.
Martin combines a lifelong interest in religion with a passion for journalism. Over the years he has traveled on location to more than forty countries to profile numerous religious leaders, religious communities, heads of state and Nobel Laureates. His films examine how belief can lead individuals to extraordinary actions, how spirituality creates and sustains communities and how faith is lived out in the most challenging times.
In the last few years Martin has been a featured speaker or presented films and led discussions in some 100 churches, synagogues and theaters across America, and has been a guest on numerous national and international programs.

Dan Juday
Vice President
Dan is currently working on the development of NEW WORLD ISLAM THE and finishing production on the website for THE ADVENTISTS. He also maintains the Journey Films website and Constant Contact email program. He recently coordinated national outreach for The POWER of FORGIVENESS. He conducted the national publicity and promotion campaign for BONHOEFFER and has produced two Spanish-language films centered on the National Shrine and the ABC program Church without Borders. He joined Journey Films in 1998 as associate producer for Author of Reform: The Cardinal Suenens Story.
Dan brings more than 25 years of communication experience in print and media, in religion and medical education. He developed the publishing program for the U.S. Catholic Bishops, and worked as consultant to book publishers and videomakers in the U.S. and abroad. He has partnered with a variety of clients in Europe and Asia. Dan speaks Spanish and Portuguese and has a working knowledge of French and Italian. Whenever possible, he escapes to his home in Co Leitrim, Ireland.

Gayle Añonuevo

Gayle worked as offline editor on the The ADVENTISTS and first joined Journey Films as post-production assistant and researcher for WASHINGTON NATIONAL CATHEDRAL: A New Century, A New Calling. She holds a BS in Biology from Cornell University and a MA in Media Arts/Documentary Video Production from Emerson College. Her Master's project, LEMMING DROP, a documentary short, was chosen as a selection in the Boston Cinema Census and the Westchester Country Film Festival. Her work as an editor ranges from new media to broadcast television, from NOVA Online at WGBH Boston to Voice of America. In her off-time she loves spoiling her dog and drumming her heart out in an all-women Brazilian percussion band.
